Vehicle Security
Stolen vehicle location and recovery (known as SVTS) was the first “killer application” for vehicle tracking in the 1990s.
In comparative tests Eagle-i was voted Best Tracking System by What Car magazine from 2003-2005. Its technologies have been Thatcham Q rated, are approved by the leading European security standards of TNO and BVVO.
These “best of breed” credentials come as standard with all Eagle-i solutions and over the years a number of our clients have successfully recovered vehicles after theft.
In the last ten years Eagle-i has contributed to the recovery of several £m of stolen vehicles and goods.
Personal Security
Providing protection for remote workers in the field is no longer a “perk”, it can be a legal requirement.
Eagle-i can advise clients on meeting their Duty of Care for lone workers and with a range of solutions on offer can tailor these to meet specific needs.
Examples where lone worker protection solutions have been implemented include:
• Utilities company engineers operating house to house service calls
• Drivers of Security Vehicles under potential threat of hijack
• Local authority lone workers
Lone Worker Solution
Eagle-i’s lone worker solution consists of a proprietary, remote panic button which the driver attaches to his or her clothing. The unit communicates via RF with a transceiver in the vehicle which in turn connects with the IVU. The system can be configured in number of ways – and reports changes of status to the Alerts module in Monitor2. Monitor2 can be configured to forward alerts via text and email to attending staff.
Mandown Solution
This is a configuration option within the Lone Worker application. It activates a motion sensor that detects the body position of the person wearing it. If it finds itself leaning to the horizontal for a period it sounds an alarm to the individual and if its position is not corrected it changes status and transmits a message – triggering an alerts process.
