Eagle-i has developed a universal interface unit that integrates with the IVU and connects with auxiliary equipment on a vehicle.

The interface unit can monitor the status of equipment such as road gritters, hydraulic lifts and Hiabs. The unit can receive both digital and analogue inputs and can monitor changes in equipment settings and performance.

For example, in measuring the activity of gritting systems, what the settings are at any point in time and how much salt/grit is being spread. All recorded with precise time, speed and location providing an inviolate audit trail of a vehicle’s operation during that period.
