Eagle-i has integrated active RFID tagging technologies to develop a system for managing vehicle borne inventories of tools and equipment – called Tool Tag.

The RFID reader unit reads tag data and transmits it to the IVU which processes it and either displays information to the driver via MDT or PDA, or transmits information to Eagle-i’s Comms Gateway for onward display in Monitor3 or client side application. Electronic product codes (EPCs) are encoded on the tags to identify specific equipment.

The system can be configured to alarm to changes in inventory.
